The industry is now beginning to require proof of special skills before auditioning. A brief video clip of the actor demonstrating a speciall skill (advanced/expert) can be produced at an affordable cost. Total cost depends on location, technical requirements and time. Call to discuss your skills, options and rates.
This is for those who need to submit a video for an out-of-town audition.Rate: $50 per taping, per person (1/2 hr. max.) Taping includes some coaching. Video is edited and sent via email to the actor’s agent, casting office and/or actor in QuickTime format. We will not send unsolicited submissions.
ACTOR DEMO: Bring us your VHS tape or DVD copies and we will edit the appropriate material for your demo reel. *Edited content is at the actor’s discretion, however, we will strongly advise you on what is appropriate and necessary. An appointment must be set to discuss the amount of content before a rate can be proposed. The finished product is reviewed and approved by the actor before committed to DVD. There is an additional fee for re-edits, thereafter. Completed Actor Demos may be used by DS StudioWorks for their promotional purposes by internet posting and/or printed materials.Rate: $250 - $350 depending on the amount of content.

PERSONALITY INTROS: We feel our Video Intros are the best looking and most professional around. We conduct the appropriate interview designed to capture and hi-light your best attributes. Taping usually takes a ½ hour. A QuickTime file is emailed to the actor and/or a DVD copy is provided. *Edited slates are kept as close to 60 seconds as possible and content is chosen at our discretion. Completed Video Intros may be used by DS StudioWorks for their promotional purposes by internet posting and/or printed materials.Rate: $150
In-Studio Sets for Custom Demos
DS StudioWorks produces quality scene demos for actors. David and Chad are experienced script writers who write dozens of custom scripts and produce quality demo scenes for their enrolled students every month. They ARE the experts in "casting types" and know how to write just for you.
With DS StudioWorks Demo Service we will...
- Write an original scene for you and a scene partner.
- Provide coaching and directing.
- Shoot in HD video format.
- *Shoot on one of our interior sets right on our stage.
- Edit the scene for you.
- Make a DVD copy of your work available usually in 3 - 7 days.
Script Options: 30 or 60 second clips. Or 3 minute scene.
In-Studio Rates: Clips start at $350. Multiple page scenes start at $500
